Unfortunately most present lifestyles lead to some form of chronic disease later in life with heart disease, cancer and diabetes as the “top three villains. These killers are silent and extremely proficient. They are more invasive, stealthier, and more deadly than any terrorist group the world has ever encountered.
Number one is heart disease with 1 in every 3 deaths contributed to this severe health issue alone. About ½ of those who die of heart attacks die within an hour of their first symptoms and before they can reach the hospital.
Those statistics are striking enough, but second on this list of chronic cruel death killers is cancer.
At present, about 40 percent of us will get cancer in some form or other…a very startling and truly frightening prospect.
It’s predicted that by the year 2050 cancer cases are set to double.
Third on this list of killers is diabetes. Those with diabetes are at increased risk of serious health complications including vision loss, heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, amputation of toes, feet or legs, and premature death.
It’s incredible to note that nearly 10 percent of the population already has diabetes but one in four of them is unaware of it. Furthermore, 35 percent have pre-diabetes where their blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be classified as type 2 diabetes and again most are not even aware of it.
Diabetes is predicted to claim close to 400 million lives within the next decade – premature and preventable deaths from self-inflicted “lifestyle” disease.
Collectively, these three “killer diseases” (when you include stroke) account for nearly 2/3 of all deaths in the U.S. alone.
Let’s face it, we’re being robbed of healthy years and most of us are totally oblivious to what is happening.
It’s way too easy to just blame poor health on the aging process but research and testing has proven that these common chronic diseases are really not part of the aging process. They are the result of 30 plus years of lifestyle problems that render the human body a disease magnet.
Although our bodies were created strong, how can we honestly believe that we can subject our bodies to and continually violate basic health principles and not experience the negative effects of these actions?
Subjecting our bodies to shocking and poor food quality and combing this with busy stressful modern day life demands, something must give somewhere.
The sad fact is we are passing this kind of future onto our children…our future generations. Children born today have predicted lifespans 20-30 years shorter than our present one if they continue these destructive habits.
If you are not currently addressing what you are presently doing to ensure you have functional fitness for the next 20, 30 and 40 years or more then you are living in a danger zone with high risk of shortened life.
It’s time to take control of your life and your health and encourage your family to do the same. Only you have the power to control and choose the behaviors and food choices that directly affect your health for the better.
