However, in a world full of time consuming demands, finding time to get our workouts in can be challenging.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>Sadly, with work, family and school activities quickly filling our schedules, if we don\u2019t make exercise a priority, it\u2019s too easily one of the first things \u201cdismissed.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Funny that we allow life\u2019s demands to get in the way of staying healthy, isn\u2019t it? Shouldn\u2019t it be the other way around? Shouldn\u2019t we be working hard to stay healthy to succeed with life\u2019s demands?<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>The reality is \u2013 although we struggle to find time in our super busy 24-hour day, we can\u2019t afford \u201cnot to exercise.\u201d Our health and ultimately our success depend on it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Next time you\u2019re tempted to shove <a href=\"http:\/\/reclaimyourlongevity.com\/articles\/exercise\/lean-muscle-slows-aging-process\/\">your workout routine<\/a> to the bottom of your priority list, ask yourself one question \u2013 \u201cwhat\u2019s going to happen in the years down the road if I continue to live a sedentary lifestyle?\u201d \u201cWhat\u2019s going to happen to my body if I don\u2019t exercise?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are totally honest with yourself, you will soon realize that you are only exchanging time saved now for time spent on multiple doctors\u2019 appointments, clinic visits and hospital stays in the future. Is that really the road you want to travel?<\/p>\n<p>If health is really a priority in your life, then exercise will be also. From this perspective, finding time to work out will become more of a creative challenge than exercising a \u201cflimsy excuse.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Here\u2019s a few creative ways to find\/make time for fitness:<\/span><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Plan ahead \u2013<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Whenever you put your schedule together, whether its weekly or monthly, make your work-out routine as important as your Doctor visits and other demanding appointments, because it is. The chances of you following through are much greater if it\u2019s scheduled into your calendar of appointments. When you view your calendar daily, you\u2019ll form a mental image which helps you to stay motivated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Honor Yourself \u2013<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">If you ever hope to succeed long-term with your exercise goals, you must be \u201ctrue to yourself.\u201d Don\u2019t force yourself into routines you don\u2019t enjoy doing. All that does is cause a lot of anxiety and dislike and opens the doors to all types of excuses, especially the \u201cI don\u2019t have time\u201d excuse. Analyze your own lifestyle and personality and experiment with different forms and times. Choose something that fits your personality, schedules and taste. If you\u2019re in it for the long-term (and you should be) then you must enjoy doing it.\u00a0 Find what works best for you and do it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Learn to delegate \u2013<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Every menial task we perform daily eats a small amount of time. But added together all these menial tasks take up a chunk of time. You must lighten the load and eliminate tasks that don\u2019t demand your personal touch. Delegating can be hard, especially for control freaks. However, learning to let go of things that can be done less often or that don\u2019t need doing at all opens a window of exercising opportunity. It\u2019s all about prioritizing and eliminating the \u201ctime stealers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Family affair \u2013<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Don\u2019t use the family as an excuse not to <a href=\"http:\/\/reclaimyourlongevity.com\/articles\/exercise\/stretching-exercises-increase-flexibility\/\">exercise<\/a>. Use them as your motivation. Schedule fun, challenging family activities such as day hikes, bike rides or even family trips to the local gym. Not only does everyone benefit physically and mentally, but when your children notice how important exercise is to you\u2026it becomes important to them. A very healthy cycle to nurture!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Make the most of your mornings \u2013<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Mornings are the least demanding time for most of us. As we get deeper into our days, daily demands become louder and more insistent. It\u2019s best to make your exercise routine \u201cthe way you start your day.\u201d It kicks in your \u201cfeel-good endorphins,\u201d and sharpens you mentally and physically. It gives you that <a href=\"http:\/\/reclaimyourlongevity.com\/articles\/exercise\/exercise-empowers-health-happiness\/\">boost of self-confidence<\/a> needed to face the demands of the day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Limit screen time \u2013<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Yep, that\u2019s all screen time. TV, computer, iPad, smart phones. If you\u2019ve never actually logged your screen time, its time you did. Most likely you\u2019ll be surprised to find out how much time is spent aimlessly staring at a backlit screen. You don\u2019t need to cut it out\u2026you need to limit it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bottom line is this &#8211; Every one of us is allotted the same amount of time daily \u2013 24 hours.
